Belarusian President extends Christmas greetings
MINSK, 24 December (BelTA) – President of Belarus Alexander has wished Merry Christmas to all Christians of Belarus who celebrate Christmas on 25 December, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.
“I wish you Merry Christmas. The light of the Star of Bethlehem heralds the triumph of faith and universal Christian love for people. Christmas rouses the anticipation of something new, fills the life with hope and sense,” the President of Belarus noted.
“Exciting Christmas celebrations inspire people to work hard and to commit good deeds. It is the time for taking care of our kith and kin, helping those who need support and assistance. By lighting candles in the holy and peaceful night let us share our warmth and affection with each other, open our hearts to kindness and peace,” the message of greetings reads.
Alexander Lukashenko wished: “May the joy of Christmas reign in every home and the entire country, give us strength to make new achievements for the benefit of the Belarusian nation and the Fatherland. I wish you health, happiness, every success, comfort and harmony in your families.”
